My daughter is five years old and in Kindergarten. Well enough of the school year has now passed where the kids are making friends and wanting to establish play dates. Of course, we don’t have the phone numbers of the kids she wants to play with outside of school.
As they are just learning their phone numbers and how to print the numbers out on paper, I thought it would be easier for her to give my business card to the child she wanted to play with to give to their parent. The true intent was simply to get our contact number to the parents to arrange some play dates.
I gave her a few cards the first day to give out and she decided she needed a few more the next day. So today she comes home and tells me she gave my business card to Rachel, Jessica, Lydia, and Calie, Joshua, Moranda, and Abigail, Aidyn, Natalie …
Okay, so I got a good giggle out of that. I said, “You gave ALL those kids my business card?” She proudly declares, “Yep, I did.” Hmmm, that was an unexpected, unintended side benefit of her wanting to set up a playdate.
