Would tenacious describe you and your commitment to your home business? Do you need to look that one up before you give a resounding “YES!”?

Tenacious [tuh-ney-shuhthinsp Tenaciouss]

–adjective

1. holding fast; characterized by keeping a firm hold, a tenacious grip.
2. highly retentive: a tenacious memory.
3. pertinacious, persistent, stubborn, or obstinate.
4. adhesive or sticky; viscous or glutinous.
5. holding together; cohesive; not easily pulled asunder; tough.

One of my favorite online tools for writing is the Dictionary and Thesaurus found at http://dictionary.reference.com/

The dictionary page not only has the typical visual dictionary pronunciation breakdown of the word and the list of possible meanings, but it also has a sound feature that speaks the word to you.  That is so cool, just click the speaker icon and turn up your speakers and listen.  Never have to wonder how a word is pronounced again.

If you are at all like me, you find yourself using some of the same words throughout a post – boring!  But the Thesaurus search gives you all kinds of ideas for alternative words, so your writing stays fresh and captivating.

Main Entry: tenacious
Part of Speech: adjective
Definition: strong, unyielding
Synonym: adamant, determined, dogged, persevering, persistent, purposeful, relentless, resolute, retentive, strong-willed, stubborn, unshakable
Antonyms: surrendering, weak, yielding

So is it a resounding (or according to my Thesaurus search, unequivocal) YES? Comment below and let me know.
